If your looking for home comfort food this is the place to be. There buffet is small but the food is absolutely delicious, and if you like breakfast around the clock they got you. Definitely great restaurant all around and the service is awesome.

I’m social distancing, so I figured now was a good time to leave some positive reviews for places I love. The food here is great and the service is wonderful. I’ve never had anything but an awesome experience here.

The outside doesn't look like much, but the inside is nice. Older style decor with charm. All the staff was older, which is nice and professional. Food is good and prices are within reason. The salad bar is great, which you don't see much anymore.

Home cooked food and friendly service.

Outstanding food and service! Watching the waitress ask most of the customers coming through the door if they wanted their usual drinks and breakfast made the place feel like home. I am so glad I decided to take a chance on a locally owned diner rather than hit Bob Evans or someplace like that. The food was delicious and better quality than the usual chain restaurants. If you are looking for a dining experience that's a step up from the rest.. give Shirlene's a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Definitely the best Salad bar in town. Many delicious menu items also.

The staff is very friendly, always has fresh food ,breakfast bar on Sunday morning is definitely our go-to.

Best home cooking restaurant in Midland! Service is great. Food is great. The homemade soups and salads on the soup and salad bar are terrific! Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Food was really good, our waitress seemed very annoyed and grumpy though.

Family and I had breakfast there. Shared the biscuits and gravy, lumberjack and Swedish pancakes. All were fantastic and would recommend. The service was great as my coffee cup never got below half empty. Definitely will go back and try lunch or dinner

We had the seafood buffet. Everything was fresh and good service. Sometimes had to wait for more crab legs to come out from the kitchen. Also prime rib is include with the buffet. It was cooked the way I requested, but a little salty

Great home-style food. They use quality ingredients, quality recipes, and it shows. Pair that with the kitchens passion for tasty food, beautifully plated, and friendly service in front. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

Homey place- not super fancy, but delicious!Went there as part of a family brunch. Some of the family knew the staff and the staff and family exchanged updates about recent happenings. I got coffee and the breakfast buffet. Great service keeping my coffee full and/getting warm ups. Buffet had several options with french toast sticks, (brought me back to feeling like a kid) as well as salad and soup. Part of the salad bar was a great chutney and fresh fruit. Seems like they are able to accommodate large groups and have some hardie dishes to please most people.

Wow the food was fantastic. I was here for work and didn't want to go to a chain restaurant, this place is a gem.The hubs ordered the crab leg buffet that came with an 8oz prime rib frog legs calamari and shrimp. He said the crab legs were some of the best he's had. I had the pan-fried walleye and it was delish. Friday is the only evening for dinner and it was packed but the service was excellent. Our food came out quickly and hit and our server was super nice and it was obvious she was great at her job.

First time there and It was Really Good. Salad Bar was Great. Better than Most places with the limp head lettuce and soggy tomatoes.Would Recommend to family and Friends if they were looking for a Home Cooked Meal Style of Resturant. Hope to return again in the Near Future

I just made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at Shirlene's. This is about our 8th or 9th year and we wouldn't go anyplace else. The food and service are fantastic, I would recommend it highly.

Great food . Clean and very nice.

Had the Big One. An omelette with bacon and sausage, mushrooms, onions, cheese, and topped with their sausage gravy. Came with two flakey buttermilk biscuits and American fries. Very nice portion. Service was excellent- Meghan was very attentive, but never in the way. Place was very clean too. I'm from California, and this is a regular stop for me when I visit.

The food is good and it's a nice place.My only complaint would be that I orfered a sandwich that came with french fries. I told the waitress that I can't have french fries because I am on dialysis and if there was a substitute for the french fries. She said yes and I could have cottage cheese or coleslaw. I orfered coleslaw. What she failed to tell me it cost $2.extra for the coleslaw. If I knew that I would have ordered the french fries and gave them to my friend. You need to teach your waitress that they should inform customers of the extra cost. It is unfair to take something away and then charge $2. for the substitute.I was very disappointed.

We are regular diners at Shirlene's. We consistently find the staff pleasant, knowledge and friendly; great food at reasonable prices is a huge plus! I highly recommend Shirlene's.

Shirlene’s is the best restaurant in the country. She painstakingly cooks every meal herself and she is the greatest chef I have ever seen. Gordon Ramsey? More like Boredom Hamsey. Shirlene is a way better cook than that absolute tosser. Anyone who does not like Shirlene or her restaurant is a dumb dumb idiot and they can get out of our country.

Friendly waitstaff, quick service, and delicious food!

Great little restaurant in Midland d for quick easy sit-down food. Nothing fancy but it's good food. Great salad bar. Wait staff is good at getting you in and out as fast as you want to. You can sit around and hangout or get out quickly. I work 2 minutes down the road and can do lunch in under 40 min. Big positive

My family loves their different buffets. The breakfast and seafood are our favorites. Always fresh foods. The customer service is always good and they have a great regular menu.

Servers were great, but food is just okay.

Food and staff are great. Wish hours were longer so I could make it from Gladwin more often. Love this place!
